Über Gypsy/About Gypsy:
Gypsy, die nun ihren wohlverdienten Ruhestand genießt, ist eine sensible und leichtführige Hündin, die allerdings auch etwas stur und dreist sein kann wenn sie keine Lust hat. Im Haus extrem ruhig, draußen voller Lebensfreude - das ist Gypsy. Ich glaube manchmal, Gypsy fühlt sich unersetzlich. :) Sie muss ihre Augen und Ohren überall haben, ihr entgeht nichts. Ihr Schutztrieb ist ausgeprägt, aber gut kontrollierbar. Gypsy hat einige gute Nachzucht gebracht, die in der Rettungshundearbeit und im Sport sehr aktiv sind. Ihre Leichtführigkeit und ihre nette Art zu gefallen, hat sie an ihre Kinder weitergegeben. Sie war stets eine fürsorgliche und gute Mutter und übernimmt heute gern die Rolle der Ersatzmama.
Gypsy is a sensitive girl. She is easy to handle but can also be pretty stubborn and nasty. Into our house she is totally inconspicuous and outside she is very lively. Gypsy loves to get lots of attention and always wants to be present. She thinks she is irreplaceable. :) She needs to control everything. Her protective instinct is pronounced but manageable. Gypsy produced some great offspring that is successful in SAR work and nearly all kind of dog sports. She always was a very good mummy and now enjoys her retirement.
Gypsy ist der typische Egoist. Wo Futter steht, ist sie stets da. Wo Spielzeug liegt, muss sie damit spielen. Wo Streichelhände sind, muss sie als Erste vorsitzen. In Gypsys Augen bräuchte man nur sie allein. Beschäftigung liebt sie und führt diese auch immer stets aus, zwar nicht immer korrekt und wie ich es gerne hätte, aber Gypsys Motto ist „Auch viele Wege führen zum Ziel“… und danach arbeitet sie oftmals.
Gypsy is a typical egoist and thinks the whole world is hers. She calls for her food, toys and cuddles. She loves to get activities and always tries hard to be the No. 1 even though she has her own methods. But I love her for what she is.
On her very first ASCA trial in Belgium she immediately won her Jumpers Novice title. She did another run without faults but unfortunately she was too slow. Or she was not in the mood for being faster because that would be totally Gypsy-like. :) But she felt rested the next day and won her first qualifying leg in Rally Obedience with a great 2nd place out of 15!!

Ansonsten liebt Gypsy Zuhause ihre Enten und hat ihren eigenen Stil mit ihnen umzugehen. Ich weiß nicht, ob ich ihr das abgewöhnen möchte, aber schauen wir mal, was noch kommt, denn so ein Rentnerleben ist ja noch lang und wie im wahren Leben staunt man oftmals, was Rentner noch so alles leisten können. :)
Gypsy also loves her ducks at home and has her own way to move them. I don’t know if I want to teach her how to do it right. :) But who knows, her life in retirement hopefully is still long.
